About Coach

Played traditional sports and some nontraditional ones while growing up. Having a love for competition against others and against myself that probably never go away, is what ultimately led me to CrossFit. After college sports(Baseball) I was left missing the team camaraderie and drive to push myself physically. I was doing the typical Globo gym 3 days a week and occasional running race. After completing a half marathon, Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, and Go RUCK challenge I was searching for something more. A click to ESPN in 2012 led me to watch the CrossFit games and the rest was history. Googled CrossFit gym closest to me(Practice CrossFit) and found something I never could have imagined in a gym. After a year of driving 60+ minute round trips to the gym, my wife Crystal and I decided that something so amazing needed to be opened in our local community. That was the start of Long Road CrossFit.

Turning Point

What was once a physical challenge and a competitive outlet has become our mission " To build a community of people that changes lives forever". We have come to realize there is no final destination to "success" or "in shape" as we age. It will be a constant evolution as we get older and our lives and priorities change. The goal is to meet our members in whatever stage of life they happen to be in and help them strive for excellence in the areas of movement, diet, sleep, relationships, and mindset. I am the co-author of The Path of Intention -5 Habits to optimize your health and build a life you love. This is exactly what we are trying to do as a gym.

Motivation & Passion

My passion is to help others reach goals and find a level of fulfillment in life they never thought possible. I love helping those that might be new parents and or grandparents that might not be sure how to manage this new stage of life. We are our own worst critics when it comes to life and what we "should" be doing to be "successful" in these various stages of life. My passion is helping individuals fight back against their biggest villains, themselves!
